Top five ways I know I am pregnant:
5. My husband brings extra plastic bags home from the grocery store with my nausea in mind.
4. I can't talk or hear anyone else talk about anything I have eaten in the last 48 hours.
3. Ignacio pretends to throw up just like his mommy! Awwwww....ick!
2. My purse is now a plastic bag...big enough to carry all my stuff and doubles as a barf bag at a moment's notice. Tre chic!
1. I have heard myself say, "I prefer to eat bananas because they taste really good on the way back up."

Cutie Patootie
Here are some of Ignacio's recent statements.
Sasio=Ignacio
Ignacio now talks about himself in the third person. He pronounces his name "Sasio" with the "a" of the word "papaya". It is hilarious. The other day he looked at himself in the mirror and said, "Bye bye Sasio."
Ni Ni toot toots = Goodnight farts.
At night Ignacio has to say goodnight to everything he can think of, including his gas I guess. The other night he even said "Ni Ni, Ni Ni." I guess even the Ni Ni needs to be put ni ni.
Agua Lalo = Chocolate Milk
"lalo" stands for "Helado" which is ice cream in Spanish. We gave him chocolate milk for the first time and he called it "ice cream water" in Spanish. Makes sense!

Strong
On Tuesday I went to my first prenatal appointment. I was so excited to reunited with the midwife that delivered Ignacio. The midwife Amy told me that things are looking on track as Ignacio ran around the exam room pulling the stir ups out of the table. As I jumped up on the table for her to check my belly she said she was going to listen for a heart beat although it was really early and usually can't hear anything for another four weeks. I just knew in my heart I would hear this little one's. After about 30 seconds of the microphone rolling over my jelly-covered abdomen the midwife and I looked at each other. There it was, like a soundtrack over my heart beat. 155 beats a minute. As Ignacio stood next to Amy looking up I was overwhelmed with emotion. A strong beating heart pumping promise.

Nausea in the north...
We traveled up to Manson Lake for the second year with Ignacio, only this time it was a little rough with my morning sickness and the stomach bug Angel got. Although the weather left much to be desired and we were a bit sick....okay a lot sick....we still made the best of our time at the cottage. I told Angel that there is no other place I would rather deal with nausea! There is just something sacred about that water and just being there lifted my spirits. Two years ago I was there pregnant, last year was there with Ignacio, this year was pregnant and next year there will be two!
On a rainy day Ignacio's imagination took off. This box became a "moto" and he spent most of the afternoon pretending to be a puppy.

Ignacio swam the most out of all of us...every day, rain or shine. He even learned to say eagle, seaweed and sand within a half hour!
